By introducing a gene that codes for fluorescent proteins, genetically modified silkworms can be made fluorescent. This enables scientists to study biological processes in a new invasing way.
This video shows fluorescence images in the short-wave infrared band at different integration times with a C-RED 2 InGaAs camera.

C-RED 2 is a 640×512 InGaAs camera running at 600 frames per second with a readout noise under 30 electrons, and a dark current below 600 e-/p/s.
