In the frame of EUROSTARS™ funding program, part of the European Partnership on Innovative SMEs, First Light Imaging, along with Creative Sight™, Optoprim, and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), has developed an innovative drone-based solution for fast and accurate inspection of photovoltaic plants in operation called LIPI (Laser Induced Photoluminescence Imaging).
The project brings the luminescence imaging technology onto a drone and into the field.
Thanks to photoluminescence laser scanning with a high speed sensitive SWIR camera (C-RED 3), microcracks, faults, areas of potential failure can be revealed.
This drone-based solution brings revolutionary change to the photovoltaic industry.
